As an emerging artist and director, Emily creates work with a strong live art aesthetic, exploring the struggle and investment of the performance event. Addressing current socio-political issues, she uses the task to shape the duration of the performance, to create a world of crucial vulnerability for both the foundations of the performance, and the audience.

Thick-Skinned

Thick-Skinned is a solo performance which comments on the inevitability of responsibility.

 

Exploring ideas to do with matriarchy and generation, the performance layers materials such as clay to imitate the cracking, elderly body with the task of holding the family up.

FishFace

Following tangents and moments of mindlessness, both audience and performers get lost in watching three goldfish swim aimlessly around their confined bubbles.

A cast of 4 performers in an adaptation of Facebook, FishFace displays brutally the lonely world that "offline" offers us, and how unstable the "online" can become.
